Dr. AJ first encountered juveniles in 1998, while touring a correctional facility in Hartford, CT. During that visit, she made a commitment to do all that she could to keep youth who have been in contact with the criminal justice system from becoming repeat offenders. JUNITY is her way of honoring that commitment.

Chaniece began working with older youth while she was a Resident Assistant in her undergraduate years. After graduating, she began volunteering in her church as a Youth Leader. Chaniece is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work and plans on specializing in direct practice with youth and families. During her time in the graduate program, she has worked with students in grades K-8. Chaniece has a passion to help teens reach their full potential and be all that God created them to be.
